Role Description

We’re seeking a Marketing & Sales Specialist to lead social media marketing and support outbound/inbound sales motions—driving awareness, engagement, and qualified demand for our software across Africa.

You’ll build our social presence, craft narratives, nurture leads, and partner with founders and product to translate value into content and conversations that resonate with merchants. This role is primarily remote, with a specific geographic constraint (see below).

Responsibilities

  • Own social media strategy, calendar, and execution (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok where relevant).
  • Create and publish content (copy, visuals, short videos) tailored to African markets and merchant audiences.
  • Develop product launch and campaign plans; measure performance and iterate.
  • Engage communities, influencers, and partners; manage replies and DMs professionally.
  • Collaborate with founders and product to translate features into clear value propositions.
  • Maintain brand voice and guidelines; ensure consistency across channels.
  • Support lead generation and qualification; coordinate with sales to convert interest into opportunities.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years in social media marketing, digital marketing, or communications.
  • Proven track record marketing software/SaaS products on social media in Africa.
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills (visuals/video a plus).
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to measure and improve campaign performance.
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate across time zones.

Preferred

  • Experience with e-commerce or payment infrastructure audiences.
  • Familiarity with AML/CFT context and compliance-sensitive messaging.
  • Comfort operating in an early-stage startup; proactive and resourceful.

Salary

Range: 175,000 – 250,000 FCFA per month, based on experience and location.

Location / Remote

Primarily remote role, reserved for candidates located in:

  • CEMAC: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon.
  • UEMOA: Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo.
