A transaction is any successful payment processed through Porsa — whether through your online store, a payment link, or a recurring subscription charge. Failed or refunded payments are not counted. The transaction fee (e.g. 8.5% on Starter) is charged on the gross payment amount and is separate from the monthly plan fee.

Yes. You can upgrade immediately and the new features become available right away. Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. When downgrading, any resources exceeding your new plan's limits (e.g. extra stores or storage) will need to be reduced before the change takes effect.

Yes — Merchant of Record is a core part of every Porsa plan. Porsa acts as the legal seller on every transaction, handling tax calculation, collection, remittance, consumer protection, and dispute resolution across all supported African markets. You never need to register local entities or manage compliance yourself.

Adaptive streaming is Porsa's network-aware video delivery for online courses and video content. It automatically adjusts quality based on the viewer's internet speed — critical for African markets where connectivity can fluctuate. Customers never lose their progress on a dropped connection. Available on Expansion and Enterprise plans.

Subscriptions and recurring billing are launching very soon. Growth merchants will get recurring billing for cards. Expansion and Enterprise merchants will also get recurring billing for mobile money, including an optimised recharge flow designed for how customers top up mobile wallets in African markets. Your current plan will automatically unlock these features on launch.

You will receive a notification before reaching your limit. Existing files and deliveries are never interrupted — customers can still access previously purchased content. To upload new files beyond the limit, upgrade your plan or remove unused files. We will never delete your files without explicit action from you.

No. Because Porsa acts as your Merchant of Record, you can sell across all supported countries without establishing local entities, local bank accounts, or local tax registrations. Porsa handles every compliance obligation in each market on your behalf — on every plan.
