Role Description

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build reliable and scalable commerce systems across payments, stores, and logistics on Porsa.

This role is pivotal in an early‑stage startup: you will own delivery end‑to‑end, influence architecture, and work closely with product. Your work will have an immediate, measurable impact on Porsa’s growth and on the performance of the businesses we support. The role is primarily remote, with a specific geographic constraint (see below).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate distributed services and APIs.
  • Ship end‑to‑end features across web (Angular) and backend (.NET/Node.js).
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design.
  • Work autonomously and take initiative for business outcomes.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years building production systems in .NET/Angular and Node.js.
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD, pipelines), cloud services, databases, and observability.
  • Strong product sense and pragmatism.
  • Excellent communication in a remote, async team.

Preferred

  • Experience with e‑commerce or payment infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of AML/CFT policies.
  • Comfort operating in an early‑stage startup.

Salary

Range: 300,000 – 500,000 FCFA per month, depending on experience and location.

Remote role primarily constrained to CEMAC & UEMOA countries:

  • CEMAC: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon.
  • UEMOA: Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea‑Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo.
